pumpkin patch
love the hands in the pocket--noah is TOTALLY becoming his dad--scary and cute all at the same time. joshy is becoming more of a mess (like his mom?!!!yikes!) as he ages. just after picking out this lovely pumpkin i saw him pooping (yes!) in the lawn of this lovely church. oh my! we did get some great pumpkins and i can't wait to carve them!

my first trophy
even with strep throat we managed to be a part of the trophy ceremony. sad that most of our first soccer season was spent NOT on the field due to illness or travel, but nonetheless i think it was a great opportunity. yay noah!

first field trip
today we had noah's first school field trip, attended family-style (meaning joshua and i accompanied him!). it was a fun trip to a local farm, seeing horses, experiencing a cattle call, and petting a random brahma cow. the wagon ride was fun, and it was great to be with all of his classmates and their parents. the carpooling was fun too!

philly
so jeff and i had a get-away last weekend and it was SO refreshing! a great friend of ours was getting married and we decided to make it a long-awaited vacation, sans children. some highlights: sleeping in, flat-screen tv's in our hotel room, walking around the city, seeing bruce springsteen, drinking beer at octoberfest, great guacamole, and lots of dancing at the wedding! we missed our kids so much and found ourselves drawn to those with young kids around us. our favorite accomplishment was running the art museum stairs, rocky-style.
as usual, once we got back everything was the same. it's good to have some couple time and i'm thankful we were able to go.......a shout out to my mom and becky & jacob for keeping the kids!
