finally snow!
we are thrilled that finally the snow is coming down outside our windows today. it is so beautiful and so cold, and there is something so great about that to me! the neighbors were out early and we joined them to make a baby snowman. we're also enjoying watching the inauguration festivities on tv. what a fun day!

jammin in the new year
seriously folks, we hwangs have been jamming since christmas, when joshy received from santa the long-awaited doodlebops guitar. he rocked out the christmas eve service (his first service where we allowed him to bring his acoustic guitar) and then the sunday after, when jeff lead worship, he rocked it out again, cocking his knee, strumming harder when the tempo increased, even occasionally tuning his strings (just like daddy). so this is a scene you would often find in our house the last couple of weeks.
we're pulling down all the christmas stuff which is sad really, though i am tiring of vacumming up all the tree bits on the floor. we had a celebratory night last night and actually saw the ball drop this year--whew! we're hopeful that 2009 will be a more joyful, focused year. we both so easily loose sight on Christ as our all in all. so i'm thankful to have another beginning, with three beautiful boys to share it with.
